My reaction to the Amistad

I thought that this was sad. The slaves were beaten and they had to stay in places were they could get puked or pooped on and that is gross and sad. The poor slaves would get beat until they bled and they would get thrown off the ships with chains tied around them and heavy rocks pulling them down. I would jump off the ship if  were a slave because I would rather die than go through that kind of stuff. If I had a baby on board with me I would try to take care of it and if I couldn't and I was getting beaten, to where I was bleeding then I would give the baby to someone else on the ship and I would jump off the ship and die.
